Mile Builder to Gibraltar, and then to Portugal!

Making the most of the weather proved a bonus for the milebuilders on Great Escape. They departed Escala in the Bay of Rosas at the top end of Spain 2 days earlier than planned to enjoy a fast sail down the Spanish Coast towards Barcelona. Following a brief over night stop to victual the yacht, Skipper Steve and his crew set off for the trip South. Light winds were forecast for the passage down to Denia, they are now in Port Soller, Mallorca. The yacht is provisioned for approx 5 weeks and stowage was probably the greatest single challenge. They are hoping to arrive here in Gibraltar Thursday 21st January, following a weekend to rest and relax they will be off for a 1250 Tidal Mile Builder. If you need some miles just drop us a line and we´ll pick you up en route. If you are in Gibraltar when they arrive feel free to join them for a beer in Marina Bay.Weather routing is being done from our offices and we use passage weather, and marine traffic for passage making information.
