Barcelona Gibraltar Fastrack Yachtmasters enjoy F7/8 Downwind Sail 258nm in Challenging Conditions

Force F7 and F8 at times with a heavy weather 258nm downwind sail via Port Olympic to San Antonio Ibiza. Our Fastrackers Joe, Lindsey, Matthew and Madeleine worked hard to keep their 48 footer on the run. Skipper Shane has reported challenging conditions, big seas, and strong winds. Crew tired with some affected by Mal De Mer but a big well done to Joe who in the Skippers own words is "Pig in muck in heavy weather!" We think that means a great big pat on the back!!!!! The passage was a good test of lights with shipping and general ColRegs. There is more weather forecast for tomorrow the hope is to depart for Cartagena/Mar Menor on Sunday. Skippers words "Thank Goodness we are on Dogstar!" Shane also reports they are in Ibiza on a Friday night, and concludes "Shame I'm to old and tired!" Join us on any of our Mile Building Yachts in The Med or Atlantic. Skipper Charlie has completed the Seville River Passage and today left Rota for more Atlantic sailing.
