Gibraltar RYA Competent Crew Course

Blue Oyster Sailing RYA Competent Crew courses in Barcelona L'Escala, or Port Olympic and Gibraltar arrive Sunday start sailing Mondays 5 day RYA Competent Crew Course. The course requirements are 3 nights away from home port, all accommodation is provided on board in your own cabin.

The RYA 5 Day Competent Course costs £495 and is fully inclusive of accommodation, all food and beverages onboard (other Schools only provide 3 evening meals) fuel, moorings, bedding, RYA Instruction, RYA Course Completion Certificates, wet gear and all safety equipment. Our yachts have an Instructor pupil ratio of 1 - 5.

Barcelona Base L'Escala and Palamos includes sailing in The Bay Of Rosas in the lee of the French Pyrennees, visiting Cadaques, Estartit, Rosas, Palamos, Port D'Aro, Barcelona Port Olympic all weather dependent obviously. Nearest airports Barcelona - Girona and Barcelona El Pratt.

Gibraltar Base sailing area includes The Straits Of Gibraltar, North Africa - Morocco, and several Spanish ports, Sotogrande and Duquesa. Base Queensway Quay Marina. Nearest airports Gibraltar and Malaga.

You will be sailing on modern British Flagged MCA Coded Yachts. We have a range of yachts available up to our Beneteau 473 for milebuilding and performance sailing. Our fleet of Bavaria Yachts all benefit from fully battened mainsails for extra performance. The larger Yacht costs £595 for a weekly Course. Additional weeks are as the above tariff and if students stay for two weeks they can stay on board our yachts over the weekend in the fully inclusive tariff, so nothing else to pay.

The RYA Competent Crew Course is an enjoyable introduction to sailing there is plenty of time to go ashore in the evenings, and remember our prices are fully inclusive. We are a fully Recognised RYA Tidal Training Centre and our company Blue Oyster Limited is incorporated in Gibraltar for your financial peace of mind. We aim to deliver sailing excellence and have RYA Sailing bases in Barcelona, Gibraltar and STCW 95 Training in Antibes.
